প্রাক্তন ভারতীয় ক্রিকেটার ভিবি চন্দ্রশেখর ঋণের কারণে আত্মহত্যা করেছেন। এই প্রাক্তন ক্রিকেটারের তামিলনাড়ু প্রিমিয়ার লীগে ভিবি কাঞ্চি ভিরন্স নামে একটি দল ছিল। এই খেলোয়াড় আইপিএলে চেন্নাই সুপার কিংস দলের ম্যানেজার হিসেবেও কাজ করেছিলেন। তার এইভাবে চলে যাওয়ায় ক্রিকেট জগতে শোকের ছায়া নেমে এসেছে।

এই প্রাক্তন খেলোয়াড় ভারতীয় দলের হয়ে ৭টি ওয়ানডে ম্যাচ খেলেছিলেন, আর নিউজিল্যান্ডের বিরুদ্ধে একটি হাফসেঞ্চুরিও করেছিলেন। তামিলনাড়ুর হয়ে ঘরোয়া ক্রিকেটে এই খেলোয়াড় ৮১টি ম্যাচ খেলে ৪৯৯৯ রান করেছিলেন। এখন তার মৃত্যুর পর ক্রিকেট জগতে শোকের ছায়া নেমে এসেছে। বেশ কিছু খেলোয়াড় তার পরিবারের প্রতি সমবেদনা জানিয়েছেন। যাদের মধ্যে বিসিসিআই আর আইসিসিও শামিল রয়েছে। চেন্নাই সুপার কিংসের সঙ্গে যুক্ত মানউষরাও সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় নিজেদের শোকের কথা জানিয়েছেন।
